Isaac Vroomans / Vromans (c. 1655-1719) however: years given in Buysen as: (1658?-d. in or after 1706). Still life painter, specializing in still lifes with plants and thorns, enlivened with snakes and other animals such as mice, frogs, spiders. This earned him the nickname of "snake painter". In Guild 16??. Was apparently from Delft. He was known as the Snake painter (Slangenschilder) and became follower of Otto Marseus van Schrieck (1619/20-1678), a colleague of Van Aelst in Italy.
