Within the church Vermeer has been buried. The present day stone slab indicates the known spot of the burial in the family plot owned by the wealthy Maria Thins, Vermeer's mother in law. See Vermeer-5

Monuments to the admirals Piet Hein and Maarten Harpertsz Tromp are within this church.
