Hendrick Cornelisz Vroom (c. 1563-1640). Well traveled painter, ceramics decorator, tapestry designer. Received his early training in Delft, the home town of his mother's family. His father and stepfather were ceramic artists. Hendrick pioneered in marine paintings and wide angle cityscapes. In 1634 he was commissioned to paint two Panoramic Views of Delft for the city, for 150 guilders. Temporary Delft address in Delft unknown. Also was employed by the Spierinx tapestry workshop.
