Private
car tour to some of the best and largest horse stables north of Amsterdam
By trade I am an art historian and I must confess that am not very knowledgeable about the fields of horsemanship, breeding, horses etc -- but horses do run in my family tree (my mom was into horses and my cosin is a top breeder). Through present day family contacts I know my way around in the field of horses and doors will open that otherwise might remain closed. Meet my cousin and talk to the one who own the largest riding horse stable in the North of the Netherlands. In a firsthand contact learn about Dutch style horse breeding, stud books, breed registries, riding and breeding horses, purebred horses, thoroughbred horses, hot bloods, warmbloods, cold bloods, horse control, stable boys, grooms, stable hands, stable boys, etc.
When riding the landscape of North Holland I can tell you about the countryside, discussing the country's history, agricultural projects, polders, and farm culture. In doing so, we may touch many bases - spanning not only landscaping and architecture but also the nation's history and current social issues.
I have also contact with a stable naer Delft.
