in China - with your own private tour guide I am an art historian based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Well traveled. I have worked with TV crews from BBC2, BBC3, CNN and national networks of The Netherlands, Japan etc. Every year I give series of lectures on very large cruise ships.
On request I will help you prepare for your trip to China with my wonderful and knowledgeable local contacts out there. Learn about the richess of the city of Bejing, its culture, museums and culinary specialities. I will find you the best private guides available to show you around, giving you a good idea of Beijing's layout. They will give you a rich story and show you maps, birds-eye views, aerial photographs, drawings, photographs and representations of its buildings as they were in Chinese antiquity. Other Chinese cities can also be chosen.
I will be your knowledgeable middle man and do quality control on your behalf!

Drs. Kees Kaldenbach has been featured in television and radio documentaries, including BBC2 TV, NTV Japan, Danish TV and Radio Netherlands World Service. In July 2004 he was interviewed about Delft artists by Tetsuya Tsuruhara for the leading Japanese newspaper The Yomiuri Shimbun. In 2004 and 2005 he acted in an advisory role to additional BBC teams. Kaldenbach has written extensively on Vermeer and 17th century Delft, on Vincent van Gogh and on other art history topics.
