Eduard Houbolt (1885-1954), A perspective study of The Little Street by Vermeer, made in springtime 1923. He calculated the height of the eye as 2.40 meter and the distance from painter to facade as 17,50 tot 20 meter. A copy of this large format drawing is in the Image and Sound dept. of the Municipal Archive, Delft. Engineer Wim Weve kindly provided me with a photocopy. In 1924 Houbolt wrote on Vermeer's house in the monthly magazine of Royal Dutch Shell. He is also known to have painted a copy of Vermeers View of Delft (location unknown to me).
