Willem Jansz Decker (after 1586-1624). Painter, in Guild before 1613. In 1608 Decker lived on the west side of Voorstraat canal, also at Kromstraat steeg. He and his wife, who had lost 4 children to the plague, finally lived at De Swarte Hont (The Black Dog) on the west side of Voorstraat canal in a house belonging to Willem van Linschoten.
He is known to have organized lotteries, a well known method of getting rid of paintings.
In 1624 he left goods valued at 857 guilders and paintings and artist's equipment worth 343 guilders.
