Gillis Gillisz de Bergh / Berch (before 1606-after 1669). Painter of still-lifes, notably fruit pieces. In Guild in 1624. Worked in Delft all of his life.

In 1638 he lived in a back annex of a house at the south end of Oude Delft. His father, a sail-maker from Ghent, paid tuition for training both Gillis and his brother Matheus as painters. Their uncle was the Delft silversmith Daniel de Bergh.

The Delft Prinsenhof museum owns a painting made between 1625 and 1650 showing a parrot, fruit and a costly chinese bowl, decorated with wan li-motives.
