Tantra massage in Amsterdam
Our
type of body massage has been inspired - among other sources - by Tantra. Tantra
is an ancient Indian philosophical movement with a highly practical application.
Tantra is very positive about the body and seeks to integrate body and soul. Three energies in three regions: the mind (where our thinking resides), the heart (where the connection between people takes place) and the sex (where the sexual energies reside, also in the pelvic region).

Tantra sessions by Natasja and Mireille.
In my way of understanding Tantra teaches us an attitude to be open to all that occurs and happens in the here and now. Everything you feel and experience is worth experiencing. You are invited to experience all events, both good and bad feelings. Do welcome those events and emotions. Open up the doors of perception and see how these events enter your mind and heart and sex and then observe them as from a distance and give them room to leave.
"All layers are adressed.
Deepest pain and extatic happiness.
I like that." email by Jeannette, a client.
You are here on earth to walk the path of human freedom and growth. You are free to discover the innate male and female sides within yourself. In this life, man and woman can learn to shed the regular dusty life in order to live in full from time to time - as in an expressive dance - in order to radiate, and to perceive the mystery and to enjoy life to the fullest. One may dance -proverbially- in the sublime sunlight and thus realize one's existence. Free to look around and learn, and to become sensitive. Free to acknowledge ones own physicality as a divine human body and as a gateway to one's own spirituality. Free to meet oneself deeply and free to meet others. Looking for the God and Goddess inside of us. Free to discover what lurks in dark corners and being unafraid to start a spring cleaning if one chooses to do so.
There are two main directions : Blue tantra (sweet, careful, while being dressed, softly) and Red tantra (more geared towards the raising of the level of bliss in the entire body, including the sex organs).
Tantra distinguishes male and female energies and spirituality which reside - in a given measure and balance - inside each man and woman.
In many cases pure male energy will often be freedom-loving, both agressive and protective in nature, with possibly as the highest task for a man to seek one's own warrior path in order to become a powerful spiritual warrior. The one holding the spear.
Pure female energy may be more receptive, contemplative, nurturing and life-promoting, with the highest goal to bring forth wisdom and beauty by way of intuition, softness and to pass on the golden torch of human life. She who celebrates the chalice with the flower petals.
Tantra massage is a quest for man and woman looking for realisation, lust
for life and freedom.
In tantra the male partner may act out the role as servant, lust slave, and lowly helper. The woman may assume the role of exalted proncess and goddess. To be allowed to be of service to her is a feast and a honour.
How does this Tantra inspired massage work?
Massage works by the quiet, healing power of human touch. Touch forms the most direct contact without words between one human being and the next - and it does influence the well-being not only of the skin itself, but of the whole human being. Thus massage yields a miraculous healing power.
I believe that touch is a great gift between human beings. Massage works by means of the quiet, healing power of human touch. Touch forms the most direct contact without words between one person and the next - and it influences the well being not only of the skin itself, but of the entire person. Massage has miraculous healing powers.
The one who receives massage and the one who gives massage are not just concerned with a small part of the anatomy, just an arm or a leg or a back, but they bring with them their totality as a human being. During the massage, both the one who gives and the one who receives, stand at the outer limit of the skin - the most sensitive and largest human organ - and thus at the outer limit of the physical self. At its very best, the massage session forms a platform of bliss in a world sometimes full of stress and pressure. Massage is living in quality time. The release of energies and endorphins will make you feel good for a long time. Come discover this for yourself. Discretion guaranteed. Kees cooperates with Mireille.
The 1966 novel by Leonard Cohen could be seen as required reading:
"All flesh can come!" page 34.
"May I Die A Little At The Uncovering Of Unfamiliar Breasts? May I Raise The Path Of Goosepimples With My Tongue?" (page 95)
"May I Unfasten My Loneliness And Collide Once Again With A Beautiful Greedy Body? May I Fall Asleep After A Soft Happy Kiss? (page 96)
"You lost yourself in particulars. All parts of the body are erotogenic, or at least have the possibility of so becoming..." Leonard Cohen, Beautiful Losers, New Canadian Library, 1966, page 29. (yes this author is also a poet and a famous musician).
Being Quiet and Trusting
Giving and reciving massage takes place in inner calmness and concentration on the basis of serenity and trust.
The massage which I give is slow ; it is called 'holistic' or 'intuitive'. It is applied with two full hands on the partner, and is aimed at relaxation and in the best of cases it may trigger - in the one who receives - an inner sensation of flow, peace, serenity and bliss. It is quite allright to enjoy and the human mind may soar as well. My motivation is in the pleasure of giving and receiving.
Structure of a Session
Initially the body is either
a) covered with a cloth made out of the finest French linen. After the pulsing session - through the cloth - which lasts a few minutes I will uncover one body part at the time so I can touch the skin.b) nude, receiving an opening session of various techniques from the Way of the Calm Caress.
When covered initially, I start to uncover part of the body. I have learned to massage these body parts: in a table massage the head, neck, shoulders, back and the sides, arms and hands ; upper chest ; ribs, stomach, buttocks, reins, legs and last but not least, both feet.
If a man gets an erection, I do not see this as a problem at all, but the idea is not to work towards orgasm in the session. Male sexual energy should not go outwards and be spilled, but in Tantra it must be directed inwards, up into the spine.
Throughout the session I also enjoy doing pulsings and stretchings. It is also possible to perform a quiet dance in which the person who receives massage fully accepts the limb movements and relaxation.
Within a session of a good hour a choice is made of the body parts mentioned above; this selection is geared both towards the situation and the needs of the one who gives and receives. Before starting I do appreciate a talk and perhaps some loosening the muscles and grounding the body.
At the end of the session various parts of the body have been touched with energy and care; regaining the sense of unity of the body is reached by the repeated feathery light trace on the whole body of 'energizing finishing strokes'
Thus whole upmarket session does take between an hour and a half or two hours.
I enjoy exchanging - but can also give massages. A handicap is no objection. Yet I will not treat serious medical conditions as I am not a licensed physiotherapist.
I do speak Dutch, English, German and also some French and Italian and I have studied at the Amsterdam Free University (Vrije Universiteit)
Lichaam & Ziel [Body & Soul] is my company name; I can receive you at my home or visit you in the Amsterdam area; my professional massage table can be moved by car.

Cool background Philosophy inspired by Wilhelm Reich
A quotation from the book by Priscilla Kapel: 'The Body Says Yes : Muscle Testing Tunes into your Body's Needs' 1981:
"The human body has been cherished since time immemorial as an instrument of pleasure and an object of aesthetic delight. Our body is our most intimate posession. As the carrier of our consciousness, it represents the only tangible evidence we have of our existence. Through our feelings about it, and our use of it, we define and express our personal identity. We feed it, train it, worry about it, suffer over it, adorn it with clothes, decorate it with ornaments, revel in its sensations, and marvel at its intricacy and beauty." (...)

MASSAGE THERAPIY AGAINST DEPRESSION
Psychologists at Illinois University have researched effectiveness of massage therapy. A series of visits to the masseur may reduce depression, anxiety and pain. Even single visits may help alleviating anxiety and pain and may reduce hypertension and a high heart rate.
